The Barrie Public Library has turned over a new page.
A fundraising campaign has been launched to build a 15-thousand square foot facility in the city's south end----near Dean Road---in the area of Big Bay Point Road and Yonge Street.
Already, 670-thousand of the one million dollar target has been raised.
The cost of the library is 4.6 million dollars, with 3.8 million coming through development charges.
The goal is to be open by spring 2011.
