Since I'll be eating Purdy's Chocolates tomorrow morning and walking my dog in the West Coast rain, I thought that I'd deliver the Friday Funny a day early, today called the Thursday Funny.
I love Big Love - the HBO show about a fictional Mormon breakaway poligamist sect in Utah - and just in time for the holiday, they want to wish you a Juniper Creek, keep sweet kind of Christmas. Very clever, HBO!
I believe in showing how appreciative I am to be as lucky as I am (job, home, car, food), but seeing this story made me want to cry because at its root, it's all about a boy who just wants to see his Dad. Feel what you will . . . you'll be feeling a lot.
The trailer for Shrek Forever After is out . . . Are you sad that this will be the last one?
Funny alert: Just imagine what might happen if Jack Bauer went all 24 and interrogated Kris Kringle . . . This may not be kid friendly, just so ya know.
Mr. Ballew, I hope that you are planning on gifting your Video Production 1 Class with an A+ for their work on the Shorewood Lip Dub. The entire hight school, from the geeks to the swim team (in their speedos, no less) helped film this lip synch to Hall & Oates' You Make My Dreams Come True. Oh, by the way - they fimed it in REVERSE! Mad props to Shorewood High, just ourside of Seattle.
Back to Christmas, this is a bit retro but is still one of the best marketing campaigns ever mounted AND it still has social relevance today. Wouldn't you love to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony?
I'll let this one speak for itself . . .

. . . and what would Christmas be without a cute kitteh?
One last video for you from the Girls On Pop at PopEater.com. It's a kooky look back at the year with very few offside comments. Enjoy!
Thanks for a great 2009. I'll see you in 2010! Happy holidays.
