You know the part of the coffee lid that you peel back allowing you to drink the coffee? Well I hate that thing. There are very few things in this world that I actually hate - but this is definitely one of them.

It is because it never, and I mean never stays notched down. It always, and I mean always flicks back up! Often it is drenched in coffee condensation and flicks it back on to my face. Damn you coffee lid nub! You are not worth the $1.45 I paid.

In a world where sheep have been cloned, and baldness has been cured, you would think that the notch for the coffee lid nub would be an exact science. However, my daily struggles continue as the coffee lid nub always has the last laugh.

Fortunately I am wise to the ways of the coffee lid nub and I have found a way to beat it at it's own game. I now remove the coffee lid nub entirely. Yes, I rip it from it's plastic perch atop the coffee cup rim. I can now drink my coffee free from the emotional scarring of messy coffee condensation.
