Don, from our newsroom, and I were having a conversation about the opening ceremonies last night for this years Winter Olympic Games.

The question came up; what's the greatest moment in the history of the opening ceremonies? The dispute was settled with little debate.

Let's go back to Barcelona, 1992:

The magic here is that it was done on the first shot, across a distance of considerable length, over the crowd! Timeless.

Never the less, Vancouver's opening ceremonies were very memorable as well, and now the rest is up to our athletes!
